Meet Anna
(And Denzel the Staffy!)
Hello! I’m Anna, the founder of Denzel's Dog Training, and this is my Staffy boy, Denzel.
My journey into dog training began with my own untrained, dog reactive, rescue dog. I developed a passion for understanding canine behaviour and helping dog owners form deeper, and better relationships with their companion dogs. I’m a qualified dog trainer and canine behaviourist with expertise in problem behaviours and rescue dog support for new owners.
My Background
Before pursuing dog training full-time, I worked in theatre as a workshop leader, director, and performer. My experience working with diverse groups – from homeless individuals to prison inmates, students, and professionals – has provided me with valuable skills in communication, body language, confidence-building, and leadership. These skills are not only crucial for successful dog training but also help me coach dog owners with empathy, patience, and clarity.
In 2021, I adopted Denzel, a reactive and untrained rescue Staffy. Through dedicated training, he is now a registered Pets as Therapy Dog, and I couldn’t be prouder of his progress. My business is named in his honour, and our slogan, Way of the Good Boi, reflects the journey we’ve been on together – helping dogs grow into confident, balanced companions.
