Meet Anna
(And Denzel the Staffy!)

Hello! I’m Anna, the founder of Denzel's Dog Training, named after my dog, Denzel.
My path into dog training began with Denzel - my own untrained, dog reactive, rescue dog. Trainers I hired were not helpful and one didn't seem to like people much! I had to learn what worked for my dog and I developed a passion for understanding canine behaviour holistically.
The struggles I had with Denzel set me on the path to learning how to train dogs with further study, shadowing expert trainers, and achieving accreditations in dog training and canine behaviour.
I’m now a Guild of Dog Trainers certified Professional Dog Trainer, pet coach, and behavioural expert. I help dog owners deepen relationships with their companion dogs by providing effective, empathetic, dog training and owner coaching that actually works!

About Me
I wasn’t always a dog trainer! What makes my work unique, is that prior to developing a passion for dog training, I worked in theatre professionally as a performer, director, and university lecturer in the UK, Germany and Australia, where I was born. My skills as a lecturer and trainer of humans in diverse practical performance contexts have equipped me with finely honed skills regarding specialist coaching for dog owners in; confidence, body language and spatial awareness, voice projection, working to cue, leadership and acting the part, handling props, etc., in addition to dog training!
Denzel is now a registered Pets as Therapy Dog, and I couldn’t be prouder of him. My business is named in his honour, and our slogan, Way of the Good Boi, reflects the road we’ve been on together – helping dogs grow into confident, balanced, companions. Whether you’re struggling with leash pulling, behavioural challenges, or really want to enrich your connection with your dog, I will give you expert guidance, support, and an effective approach that works for both you and your dog. Together, we’ll build the foundation for a happier, stable, well-behaved dog.
